Bridge Construction

is a guitar- happy, melody-driven, harmony-infused sextet from Columbus, Ohio that likes to rock, rattle and groove. Front man Chris Nye, courted by Epic Records in his youth, is back after a regenerative hiatus. Short on sleep but not on songs, he and his wife front woman Pam Nye, produced and released their first CD, Rockslide Dancing in 2011 winning second place for best album of the year at The Columbus Music Awards. Poised to release a second CD Beyond The Blue, the band is excited to get their new songs heard.
They are influenced by the Beatles, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, Dave Matthews, and Weezer. Reggae, funk, rock, blues and folk find their way into their musical landscape, as do the acoustic and electric guitar. Performing at local venues like King Ave. 5 and The Woodlands Tavern, the band is scheduled to play more shows and outdoor events in 2014. Band members are Matt Andrus on bass, Tye Price on lead guitar, Pam Nye harmony/lead vocals /percussion, Chris Nye lead vocals/harmony/rhythm guitar, Carlton Smith drums and Rick Carleski keyboards and backing vocals.
